As our participants come from near and far, transportation is an important issue. Regardless of whether you have your own means of transportation or use public transport, we have prepared an overview of all the important information here.

To make your journey to the United World Games as pleasant as possible, we have collected some important information for you.
As many teams have a long and expensive journey to make, we are organizing buses and car pools from all over Europe to get the teams to Klagenfurt as cheap as possible. Whether Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin or Barcelona – get in touch with us if you need help organizing your journey.
Klagenfurt can be reached via the A2. The quickest way to get to Players Town is via the “KLAGENFURT WEST” exit.
We will be happy to pick you up at the main train station in Klagenfurt and take you to the check-in in the Players Town and on to your accommodation. We will also take you back to the station on the day of departure. This service is included in the shuttle ticket.
We can also pick you up from Klagenfurt Airport and bring you to Players Town.
If you can’t get direct flights to Klagenfurt, we recommend the following airports:
- Vienna
- Munich
- Ljubljana
- Venice
- Treviso
- Trieste

UWG Shuttlebus in Klagenfurt
The UWG shuttle system is a tried and tested transportation system that makes it possible to get to the various tournament locations quickly and easily during the tournament days. In combination with Klagenfurt’s well-developed public transport system, you can get from A to B in no time at all.
For a small fee, every participant can use all shuttle buses as well as all public buses during the tournament days. Here you can find all information about the shuttle buses:
Extra Transfer
Immobile teams in the B&B and Hotel Classic accommodation categories require extra transfers in addition to the shuttle tickets.
The following trips are included:
- Thursday: Drive to the accommodation
- Friday & Saturday: Drive to Players Town in the morning & to accommodation in the evening
- Sunday: Drive to Players Town in the morning
