What does the UWG 2027 offer?
Ten sports, one tournament
Tennis, basketball, volleyball, rugby, floorball, soccer, ice hockey, ball hockey, flag football, lacrosse, and beach volleyball: At the UWG, clubs and teams from all over the world compete against each other in ten sports. Whether your team is at home on the court, the field, the ice, or the sand—there’s a stage for you, and with ten sports under one roof, you’ll meet athletes and experience club cultures you’d otherwise rarely encounter.
High Quality at Every Level
The UWG is more than just a recreational tournament: well-thought-out schedules, professional competition conditions, and organization at an international level ensure that every team feels taken seriously from the very first game—whether it’s an ambitious club or a recreational team. It’s precisely this blend of serious competition and open participation that makes the UWG a tournament that challenges athletes without losing sight of the spirit of recreational sports.
Carinthia: a region tailor-made for this tournament
Klagenfurt and Lake Wörthersee provide the backdrop for a multisport event of this magnitude: mountains, a lake, and plenty of space for outdoor sports. If you have some free time between games, you’ll find relaxation right on your doorstep—by the lake, in the mountains, or right in the heart of the city. Every visit to the tournament thus becomes a journey you’ll remember for years to come—not just the results.
An Olympic atmosphere for recreational sports
A tent city right in the middle of the stadium, the Players Party, an opening ceremony featuring a flag parade of all participating nations: the supporting program elevates recreational sports to an international level. For many teams, that’s exactly why they come back—the feeling of being part of something bigger for a few days, together with thousands of other athletes from around 30 nations. Competition and celebration go hand in hand at the UWG, and both are equally integral to the experience.
Will we see you in 2027?
The early-bird bonus is only available through November 1, 2026. Register your team now in the registration database and secure your spot at the 2027 United World Games in Klagenfurt.
