After the cancellation of the UWG 2020 and the difficult last couple of months, we are very happy that we can open the registration phase for the United World Games 2021. On our website you can now sign your team up for next year’s Games – and because of the uncertainty surrounding the development of the pandemic you can cancel a registered team free of charge until April 23, 2021.
The date is already set (June 24 – 27, 2021) and the preparations have started, albeit in a limited and corona-adapted form. The COVID-19 situation still causes a great deal of uncertainty in Austria as well as in the rest of the world and among many other aspects of society this also concerns travel restrictions and the hosting of large scale events such as ours.
The aim of the United World Games has always been to unite the world through sport and create a place that is centered around respect & fairness as well as exchange & friendship. We will continue to pursue this goal, yet the safety and wellbeing of our participants and the compliance with COVID-19 requirements and measures are of paramount importance to us. Together with our partners we are therefore working on an adapted safety concept for the United World Games 2021, which includes a smaller eventframe and a strictly limited number of participating teams for each age category in each sport, based on a “first come – first served” principle. But don’t worry, the unique character of the event will of course remain just as it always was.
We fully understand the concerns of parents, coaches and teams regarding the situation next summer and are therefore very happy about the positive feedback we have been receiving recently. With this in mind, we would like to point out once again that registered teams can be cancelled free of charge until April 23, 2021.

We hope that the situation next summer will allow us to host the United World Games 2021 and we are already looking forward to welcoming you in Klagenfurt again next year.
